Healthy Minds

Psychological services that are easier to access

The Healthy Minds program provides accessible, short-term psychological support for people who may otherwise struggle to access mental health care. This service is designed for individuals experiencing mild to moderate mental health challenges or suicidal thoughts, particularly those in underserved or hard-to-reach communities.

Our team includes psychologists, mental health nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health workers — ensuring culturally safe and comprehensive care.

  • People living in rural or remote areas

  • Individuals facing barriers to accessing conventional mental health services due to cultural, linguistic, socioeconomic, or geographic factors

  • Priority groups identified through regional needs assessments

  • Anyone in the region who would benefit from targeted, accessible psychological care

Who This Service Supports

  • Short-term, non-crisis psychological therapies

  • Evidence-based care tailored to individual needs and preferences

  • Flexible delivery: face-to-face, video, or phone-supported sessions

  • Culturally safe and inclusive support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities
