Better Connect offers free, culturally safe and evidence-based support for individuals and families affected by alcohol and other drug use. Whether you're looking to make a change, reduce harm, or support a loved one, our services are here to help.
Services are delivered by:
QuIHN Services
QuIHN provides support for people looking to address alcohol or substance use and any associated mental health concerns.
Our team consists of therapists, case managers and peer AOD workers who use person-centred, evidence-based approaches to support people through change.
We offer individual counselling, practical support, and group programs that focus on relapse prevention, harm reduction, parenting, and well-being.
Group programs include:
MudMaps – for anyone who is, or is thinking about, making changes to substance use.
MAISE – a support, skill-building, and relapse prevention program for those experiencing the effects of substance use and mental health concerns.
Treehouse Parenting Group – supporting parents by enhancing positive parenting skills, addressing parental and child protection concerns, and providing education on the effects of substance use and mental health on parenting.
CQID Services
CQID provides culturally appropriate, holistic services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.
Our AOD caseworkers offer:
Case management and health behaviour education
Harm reduction and relapse prevention
Referrals to specialist services
Support for family, friends, and carers
Group program:
Inside out – a culturally safe journey to understand and address substance use
My plan to stay strong – a personalised relapse prevention plan
